Manhunt underway for Bryanston killers (and other crime stories)

Local community members have verbalised their surprise following the murder of a local Bryanston resident in the driveway of his Bryanston complex on Anslow Lane at 11.30am on Tuesday 9 April.

According to reports and a video that was released soon after the murder, the 59-year old victim was followed home by armed suspects in a blue BMW and ambushed while parking his car.

The victim, Ivan Djordjevic, was allegedly shot with a rifle and died instantly. He is believed to have survived an attempted hit in Bedfordview two years ago.

The motive is not et known but it is believed to be a hit.

The getaway car was later torched in an open field near the Bryanston Country Club. Police have launched a manhunt for the two armed suspects.

Protesters disrupt Sandton Book Launch

(Tuesday 9 April) – The Johannesburg book launch of Pieter-Louis Myburgh’s new book: Gangster State: Unravelling Ace Magashule’s Web of Capture ended in chaos as protesters began tearing pages out of the book.

The launch, at Exclusive Books in Sandton City, was overrun with angry protesters singing songs in support of Magashule, claiming that the book was”propaganda” against ANC members.

No arrests have been made.
