Pikitup collection dates over Christmas

Pikitup will collect refuse on all public holidays except on Christmas Day, Tuesday 25 December 2018.

Residents whose scheduled waste collection day falls on Christmas Day are advised to keep their refuse bins inside their properties and place them outside on Tuesday 1 January 2019, for collection.

NOTE: Pikitup discourages residents from giving gifts to employees because criminals also use this to their advantage.

Use less water – or else!

The Department of Water and Sanitation (DWS) in Gauteng has urged households to urgently reduce their water usage.

The relentless heat has resulted in higher than above average water consumption, which could lead to problems in the future.

Thankfully, we have had some good rainfall in the past week which should replenish our dams. Please use every means necessary to conserve water and store rainwater where possible.
