BizNews — Finance Minister Tito Mboweni announced in his supplementary budget speech that R21.5 billion rand will go towards Covid-19 related healthcare spending. A further allocation of R12.6 billion will go to services at the frontline of the response to the pandemic. There will be an adjustment to spending for the three tiers of government, with the allocation for provinces decreasing, and money for local governments – which are bearing the brunt of the pandemic – increasing. …
